Opportunity:
Physician (MD) - Internal Medicine - Hematology and Oncology

Job Details:

• Locum Tenens coverage for Hematology/Oncology with ongoing assignments beginning 9/21/2026
• Preferred schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional night and weekend call included in the assignment
• Call is currently 1:2 with very few calls and can be performed via phone
• Practice is 95% outpatient and 5% inpatient with a target patient load of 10-15 patients per day
• New patient consults are scheduled at 60 minutes and follow-up appointments at 30 minutes
• Part of a 4-provider group consisting of 1 physician and 3 APPs within a collegial and supportive employed practice environment
• Inpatient rounding is typically managed by APPs; oncology is consulted as needed through the hospitalist group
• Office utilizes ONCO EMR; each provider is assigned to three rooms with patients roomed by an RN and comprehensive assessments performed
• Genetic counselor available onsite along with a weekly tumor board and strong primary care support
• Research department with 1 dedicated research associate for oncology and a tumor registry with 2 CTRs on staff
• Facility is physically co-located with radiation oncology, featuring a shared waiting area
• Board certification required; must hold an active Michigan medical license (IMLC not accepted)
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Estimated credentialing timeframe is 60 days
