Inpatient Psychiatrist Locums – Macon, GA

Job description

We are seeking a Board-Certified Psychiatrist for a locum tenens opportunity a hour outside of Atlanta Georgia. This is a full-time inpatient position with a collaborative team and the opportunity to take on a leadership role.

Assignment Details
Assignment Length: 3 months with option to extend
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Coverage: Adult inpatient psychiatry
Call: None

Practice Setting:
Hospital-based inpatient psychiatry unit
20-bed adult behavioral health unit
Average daily census: 10 patients
EMR: Epic

Clinical Responsibilities:
Psychiatric evaluations and medication management
Lead multidisciplinary treatment team meetings
Collaborate with psychiatrists, APPs, nursing, and behavioral health staff

Support Team:
2 Full-time Psychiatrists
2 Full-time APPs
2 PRN Psychiatrists

Requirements:
Board Certified in Psychiatry
Active Georgia license required
DEA required
BLS certification required

Additional Information:
Credentialing timeframe: approximately 120 days
